LOCATION: Lagos, Nigeria (Hybrid)

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a skilled and creative Video Editor / Content Creator who can both shoot and edit engaging content for social media.

This role is perfect for someone who understands how to turn ideas into scroll-stopping videos from filming to final edit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Content Creation (Filming)

- Shoot high-quality content using both mobile phones and professional cameras

- Capture behind-the-scenes, lifestyle, product, and talking-head videos

- Direct or guide talents/clients during shoots when necessary

2. Video Editing

- Edit engaging short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts

-Create and edit Campaign videos

- Add captions, transitions, sound effects, and visual enhancements

- Ensure videos are optimized for retention and engagement

- Repurpose long-form content into short-form clips

3. Creative Execution

- Translate content ideas into visually appealing videos

- Stay up to date with trends, sounds, and editing styles

- Contribute ideas to improve content performance

4. Collaboration

- Work closely with strategists and the content team

- Execute content based on briefs and campaign goals

- Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

REQUIREMENTS

- Must be based in Lagos, Nigeria (Preferably on the island)

- Proven experience as a Video Editor and/or Content Creator

- Ability to film with both a smartphone and a camera

- Strong proficiency in:

- CapCut

- Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve

- Good understanding of lighting, angles, and composition

- Strong sense of storytelling and pacing

- Ability to work both independently and within a team

BONUS POINTS IF YOU:

- Have experience creating content for brands

- Understand what makes content go viral or convert

-Can edit both aesthetic , funny and creative videos.

- Can direct shoots or suggest creative concepts

- Have a strong portfolio of social media videos
