We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Verification Officer to ensure all loan applications, client information, and documentation are accurate and compliant with our policies. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in minimising risk and supporting smooth loan disbursement processes.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Verify the authenticity of loan applications, client information, and supporting documents.
Conduct field visits and due diligence to assess client credibility.
Ensure compliance with the bank’s credit and operational policies.
Collaborate with Credit Officers and the Operations team to ensure timely loan processing.
Maintain detailed records of verification activities and findings.
Identify potential risks and report discrepancies to management.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in microfinance verification, credit assessment, or banking operations.
Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
Must reside close to Ikorodu or be able to commute easily.
