Job summary
H. Safieddine Transport Ltd needs a Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) for our Lagos truck yard (Mack + Sinotruk). You will inspect every truck before it leaves the yard and after repairs, so no truck goes out with a defect.

Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Inspect trucks and trailers before exit and after repair: brakes, tyres, lights, steering, suspension, leaks, fluid levels, body and coupling
- Record every inspection on the checklist and stop any unsafe truck from leaving
- Report defects to the workshop foreman with truck number and photo
- Re-check trucks after repair and confirm fit to go
- Keep daily inspection records and report to the Workshop Manager
Requirements:
- OND in automotive or mechanical
- Minimum 3 years' experience with heavy trucks (Mack, Sinotruk/HOWO or similar)
- Good knowledge of truck safety checks and roadworthiness
- Can use a smartphone / WhatsApp to send photos and reports
- Lagos-based and available to start immediately
