Responsibilities:
On-Air Presentation:
- Anchor news bulletins, current affairs, and live programs
- Deliver news with clarity, authority, and professionalism
- Conduct interviews with guests, experts, and newsmakers
Content & Research:
- Research stories, prepare scripts, and work with the editorial team
- Ensure accuracy, balance, and compliance with broadcast standards
- Engage viewers through compelling storytelling
Brand Representation:
- Represent the station professionally at events and public engagements
- Collaborate with producers, editors, and reporters for seamless broadcasts
- Contribute to digital/social media content
Professional Development:
- Stay updated on current affairs, politics, and trends
- Maintain excellent on-screen appearance and voice modulation
Requirements:
- Degree in Mass Communication, Theatre Arts, English, Linguistics, Literature, or related field required
- Previous on-air/TV presenting experience is an advantage
- Excellent spoken English and communication skills
- Strong news reading, interviewing, and ad-libbing ability
- Good camera presence and confidence under pressure
- Professional, intelligent, presentable, and articulate
- Must be available for shifts including weekends and breaking news
