Truck Transit Park Manager

Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

• Oversee daily operations of truck entry, parking, transit, and exit.
• Ensure proper allocation and utilization of parking spaces.
• Maintain efficient traffic flow within the facility.
• Monitor and enforce park rules, procedures, and safety standards.

Staff Supervision:

• Manage and supervise operations staff (security, attendants, maintenance team, admin staff).
• Conduct training, performance evaluations, and shift scheduling.
• Ensure staff compliance with operational protocols.

Customer Service & Stakeholder Relations:

• Ensure a positive experience for truck drivers, fleet owners, logistics companies, and visitors.
• Resolve complaints and operational bottlenecks promptly.
• Maintain good relationships with regulatory agencies, unions (NURTW, truck associations), and community stakeholders.

Safety, Security & Compliance:

• Implement safety measures for trucks, goods, drivers, and park users.
• Oversee security operations, including surveillance, access control, and emergency response.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards.

Facility & Asset Management:

• Oversee maintenance of infrastructure: parking bays, lighting, restroom facilities, power supply, water, and IT systems.
• Coordinate repairs, preventive maintenance, and upgrade projects.

Financial & Administrative Management:

• Manage daily revenue collection, ticketing, invoicing, and reconciliation.
• Control operational costs and track budget performance.
• Prepare operational and financial reports for management.

Technology & System Management:

• Ensure proper use of truck park management software and automated systems.
• Monitor digital ticketing, access control, and customer management systems.

Emergency & Incident Management:

• Respond to accidents, breakdowns, security incidents, or emergencies.
• Maintain logs, documentation, and incident reports.

Requirements:

• Minimum of an HND qualification
• Minimum of 3 years of experience
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to supervise and train staff
