A reputable company in the travel and tourism industry, based in Lagos, is seeking an experienced Travel Consultant to join its team. This is a mid-level role suited to someone who combines strong technical travel operations knowledge with the ability to take ownership, support junior team members, and deliver consistently to a high standard.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Manage client travel cases end-to-end while providing operational oversight and guidance to junior team members. Key responsibilities include:
  • Flight searches, reservations, and ticket issuance across multiple platforms
  • Visa application processing and documentation management
  • Hotel bookings, tour coordination, and client itinerary preparation
  • Online check-in management and boarding pass distribution
  • Client communication—follow-ups, reminder emails, and status updates
  • Accurate record-keeping in Excel and Google Sheets
  • Supporting and providing day-to-day oversight of junior consultants
  • Ensuring operational standards are consistently met across the team
  • Submitting structured daily activity reports

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Travel Consultant in the travel and tourism industry
  • Strong working knowledge of flight booking systems—GDS experience (Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo) is an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience with visa processing across multiple destinations
  • Exceptional attention to detail—particularly with passenger names, travel dates, routes, and document accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple client cases with urgency and without supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable providing guidance and support to less experienced colleagues
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset—escalates early, resolves independently where possible
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace


Remuneration: NGN 300,000 Net
