Travel and Tour Officer

Responsibilities:

• Design customized or pre-packaged travel plans, including sightseeing, excursions, and activities tailored to client preferences.
• Secure airline tickets, hotel accommodations, car rentals, and tour packages through industry distribution systems.
• Advise clients on destinations, travel trends, and local attractions while answering questions regarding travel requirements.
• Negotiate rates and build relationships with hotels, transportation services, and local tour guides to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Assist clients with the administrative side of travel, such as applying for visas, ensuring valid passports, and arranging travel insurance.
• Handle trip disruptions (e.g., flight cancellations, missed connections, or medical emergencies) by re-booking and providing immediate alternative solutions.
• Promote tour packages, manage social media or brochures, and attract new clients

Requirements:

• 1–2+ years of travel agent experience in both agency and corporate settings across multiple industries.
• Familiarity with the GDS booking system. (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre) A CRM tool is an advantage.
• Understanding of foreign and domestic travel requirements or restrictions
• Familiarity with the latest travel trends, including popular vacation locations and activities.
• Strong Knowledge of visa application procedures for major countries (e.g, UK, USA, Canada, Schengen.

Remuneration: NGN 150,000 - 200,000
