Responsible for advising and planning travel trips for clients in accordance with their needs, wants, and capabilities
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Research various destinations and means of travel regarding prices, customs, weather conditions, reviews etc.
- Diagnose the clients’ specifications and wishes and suggest suitable travel packages or services.
- Organize travels from beginning to end, through accommodation, and securing rental transportation etc.
- Supply travelers with pertinent information and useful travel/holiday material (guides, maps, event programs, etc.)
- Use promotional techniques and prepare promotional materials to sell itinerary tour packages.
- Handle unforeseen problems and complaints and determine eligibility for money returns.
- Attend conferences to maintain familiarity with tourism trends.
- Create and update electronic records of clients.
- Curate travel experiences that would stand out and make it sellable.
- Identify customer taste to infuse these in the package being created.
- Coordinates transportation, Accommodations, insurance, tours, and activities for clients.
- Advise clients regarding destinations, cultures, climates, and activities on their packages.
- Provide information on services and answer questions with accuracy and efficiency on destinations
- Maintain relationships with key persons.
- Reach the revenue and profit targets
- Prepare all fee quotes and any information required by clients, colleagues, or authorities.
- Maintain strong working relationships with all clients and colleagues.
- Train staff to enhance their understanding of the travel industry.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Have vast knowledge of holiday destinations
- Minimum of 2 years prior work experience as a Tour Consultant/Ticketing & Reservation Officer.
- Proficiency in English and any other languages is an advantage
- Proficiency in the use of Amadeus and Galileo GDS.
- Ability to relate with internal and external stakeholders at various levels using diplomacy and tactics.
- Analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Result-oriented with regard to quality and productivity goals.
- Exemplary sales skills and customer-oriented approach.
- Well-versed in various areas of travel (domestic/international, business/holidays, group/individual, etc.)
- Ability to present, persuade, and communicate effectively.
- Demonstrable ability to handle crises.
- Degree in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business, or relevant field
- Candidates with personal travel experience will be preferred
- Demonstrate decision-making skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Team-oriented thinking and action; Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations
- High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools
- Highly innovative & creative; Detail & Result orientation
- Must be able to identify and resolve problems promptly

Benefits:

Work Details:
- Normal daily load: 8 hours.
- Normal weekly load: 5 days (will work beyond this duration when necessary)
Location: Lekki Phase 1
Remuneration: NGN 250,000 - 275,000
