Job summary
The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving Salamanca’s sales performance, brand presence, and outlet execution within an assigned territory. This role exists to ensure Salamanca operates as a brand-led business, not solely dependent on distributors. The TSM works closely with distributors and partners but represents Salamanca’s interests first, ensuring outlets are opened correctly, data is tracked, standards are maintained, and volume targets are met.

Responsibilities:
Sales & Volume Growth:
- Drive sales across on-trade and off-trade outlets within the territory
- Support achievement of annual and quarterly volume targets
- Identify new sales opportunities and priority outlets
Outlet Development & Management:
- Open and onboard new outlets in collaboration with distributors
- Re-engage existing outlets and improve performance
- Ensure Salamanca is stocked, visible and correctly positioned
- Maintain strong relationships with outlet owners, managers, bartenders, and key influencers.
Distributor & Partner Management:
- Work closely with assigned distributors and sub-distributors
- Track distributor activity and outlet coverage
- Validate distributor sales data and market feedback
- Escalate gaps, delays, or pricing issues
Brand Execution & Activations:
- Execute brand activations and promotions in approved outlets
- Ensure proper use of Salamanca visibility assets
- Monitor activations to ensure they drive real sales
Data, Reporting & Insights:
- Collect and report outlet-level sales data
- Track stock levels, depletion, and reorder patterns
- Share market insights, competitor activity, and pricing trends
Territory Coverage:
- The TSM is responsible for regular field visits across assigned areas
- Must be active in-market multiple days per week
- This is a field-based role, not desk-based
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in sales within FMCG, alcohol, beverages, or hospitality
- Strong understanding of on-trade and off-trade operations
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships
- Comfortable working with distributors and independent outlets
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Must own and maintain a reliable car
- Valid driver’s licence
- Highly organised and disciplined
- Comfortable with targets and performance tracking
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends when required
Location: Lagos (with travel to assigned territories)
Remuneration: NGN 400,000 - 450,000
