Tender Preparation Officer
Job summary
The Tender Preparation Officer is responsible for preparing, coordinating, and submitting tender and bid documents in compliance with client requirements and company policies. The role ensures accuracy, timeliness, and competitiveness of all tender submissions.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Identify and review tender opportunities and bid invitations
- Prepare complete tender documents in line with specifications and deadlines
- Coordinate with technical, finance, procurement, and legal teams for required inputs
- Compile pricing, technical proposals, and supporting documents
- Ensure all tender submissions comply with client, regulatory, and company requirements
- Maintain a tender register and track submission status
- Handle pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) and expressions of interest (EOIs)
- Review tender documents for accuracy, consistency, and completeness
- Submit tenders electronically or physically as required
- Maintain proper records of submitted tenders and outcomes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tender preparation, bids, or proposal management
- Strong knowledge of tendering and procurement processes
- Excellent document preparation and coordination skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in construction, oil & gas, logistics, or consulting firms is an advantage
