Machine Operator
Job summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining production machines used in smartcard manufacturing. You will ensure machines run efficiently to meet daily targets while maintaining quality standards and safety procedures.

Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
- Set up and operate smartcard production machines such as lamination, milling & embedding, personalization, and QC testing Machine
- Monitor machine performance during production runs and adjust settings as needed.
- Load raw materials like PVC sheets, chips, and modules.
Feed quality & Output:
- Conduct first-line quality checks on output: visual inspection, dimensions, chip functionality.
- Separate defective cards and log rejects for rework or scrap.
- Achieve daily production targets with minimal downtime.
Waste maintenance & Housekeeping:
- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
- Report machine faults/breakdowns promptly to the maintenance team.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation in line with 5S
Standard documentation & Compliance:
- Complete production logs, shift reports, and material usage records.
- Accurately follow SOPs, safety guidelines, and ISO/EMV quality requirements.
- Follow company policies on data security and confidentiality of card data.
- Collaboration: Work with QC, maintenance, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth workflow handover properly to the next shift with a full update on machine status and issues.
Requirements:
- Smartcard or printing experience is an advantage.
- Good mechanical/electrical aptitude and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read basic technical drawings and follow SOP, attention to detail, and quality consciousness.
- Basic computer literacy for machine interface and data entry, Physical stamina to stand for long periods, and lift light material.
- Key Competencies: Safety-first mindset, reliability, and punctuality for shift Work.
- Willingness to learn new equipment/processes, team player with good communication.
- SSCE/OND in Mechanical, Electrical, Production Engineering, or related technical fields.
- 1-2 years as a machine operator, preferably in manufacturing.
