This includes identity and address verification software and tracking security systems,

Responsibilities:

Technology & Supplier Research (Tracking and Security Technologies): 

  • Conduct ongoing research to identify professional, reliable, and high-quality suppliers of: Vehicle tracking technology, Tracking devices and GPS units, Asset security-related hardware and software,  Any telematics or IoT (Internet of Things) technologies used in asset finance
  • Evaluate supplier products for performance, durability, reliability, and compatibility with company operations.

  • Evaluate supplier products for performance, durability, reliability, and compatibility with company operations.
  • Perform comparative analysis, including cost-benefit reviews, industry benchmarks, and technological longevity.
  • Present well-structured recommendations to senior management for supplier selection.



Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all technology-related suppliers and third-party partners.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with suppliers to ensure seamless communication and timely
  • support.
  • Oversee Service-Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensure all suppliers meet contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Credit, Telecoms, Insurance, Tracking, Collections, Asset Recovery, etc.) to ensure technology solutions perform as required.
  • Manage supplier onboarding, renewal negotiations, performance evaluations, and potential transitions to new vendors.


Technology Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in technology relevant to vehicle asset financing, including: Tracking/telematics systems, Credit assessment and digital KYC technologies, Loan repayment and digital payments platforms, Collections and portfolio management systems, CRM systems and client engagement tools, Mobile apps for clients and employees, AI-driven analytics, automation, and risk assessment tools, Cybersecurity solutions, Any emerging fintech or mobility technologies that could benefit the company
  • Conduct periodic technology audits to evaluate current tools, identify gaps, and propose enhancements.
  • Advise on which new tech to adopt, upgrade, or retire, ensuring the company remains tech-driven and competitive.
  • Oversee implementation of approved new technologies in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Ensure tech solutions align with the company’s long-term strategy, operational needs, and customer experience goals.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
  • 3–7 years’ experience in implementing and managing core banking systems (loan origination and loan management),
  • APIs, technology management, vendor management, or IT procurement - preferably in financial services, telecommunications, or mobility industries.
  • Strong understanding of tracking devices, IoT technologies, and digital platforms.
  • Experience managing external vendors and negotiating contracts.
  • Background in fintech, asset financing, telematics, or digital transformation is highly advantageous.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent vendor and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Excellent understanding of software, hardware, and digital platforms.
  • Ability to evaluate technologies from technical, operational, and financial perspectives.
  • Strong communication and reporting abilities.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strategic thinking with an innovation-driven mindset.
