Job summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with established connections in the renewable energy sector. The Business Development Manager (BDM) will lead the company's growth initiatives within the renewable energy space, with a focus on solar projects, mini-grids, and commercial & industrial solar solutions.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Drive the development and financing of solar mini-grid projects, including feasibility studies, stakeholder engagement, and project structuring.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders—regulators, financiers, communities, EPC partners, and equipment suppliers.
- Lead proposal development, including RFP responses, concept notes, and business cases for energy projects.
- Collaborate with the technical team to assess project viability, cost estimates, and technical requirements.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new solar products, services, and technologies.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory frameworks to inform Solaflix’s strategic direction.
- Support partnership development with development agencies, utilities, and government programs.
- Represent Solaflix at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder forums to promote the brand and expand its network.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and financial projections for management and investors
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Minimum of a BSc.
