Job Profile

We are seeking to hire a driven, experienced, and results-oriented Technical Sales Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth through the development of new markets, generation of sales opportunities, and management of existing customer relationships.

The role requires an individual who can effectively communicate technical product applications, develop strategic sales opportunities, negotiate commercial terms, and build long-term relationships with clients across key industries.

Key Responsibilities

·      Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business and revenue targets.

·      Identify new business opportunities, generate leads, and build a strong sales pipeline.

·      Research target markets and develop lasting relationships with prospective and existing clients.

·      Understand customer technical requirements and recommend suitable engineering products and solutions.

·      Promote products, including pumps and valves through presentations and client engagements.

·      Prepare proposals, quotations, bids, and technical presentations while providing support throughout the sales process.

·      Negotiate commercial terms, manage sales territories, conduct client visits, and close business opportunities.

·      Monitor market trends, maintain accurate sales records, prepare activity reports, and provide customer feedback to support business growth.

·      Visit clients within and outside Lagos

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience as sales engineer
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering products, particularly pumps and valves

Requirements and Competencies

• Strong technical sales background.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into practical solution
• Ability to plan and manage multiple projects and priorities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Willingness to travel.
