Technical Production Manager
Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Technical Production Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all technical production aspects of large-scale live events, concerts, award ceremonies, festivals, and broadcast productions.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all technical production activities for live events and broadcast productions.
- Oversee all technical disciplines, including professional audio, lighting, LED screens, video systems, staging, rigging, power distribution, and special effects.
- Coordinate with artists, artist management, production teams, broadcasters, technical vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure all technical requirements are delivered.
- Review and implement artists' technical riders and production specifications.
- Develop technical production plans, event timelines, rehearsal schedules, cue sheets, and run-of-show documents.
- Lead technical rehearsals and supervise technical crews during event setup, execution, and breakdown.
- Ensure all technical equipment is properly installed, tested, operated, and maintained before, during, and after events.
- Manage technical production budgets, equipment procurement, rentals, and vendor relationships.
- Monitor production quality and ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry standards.
- Identify and resolve technical issues quickly while implementing contingency plans to minimize operational disruptions.
- Maintain an inventory of technical equipment and recommend upgrades to improve production quality and operational efficiency.
- Research and adopt emerging production technologies and best practices to enhance event experiences.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Production, Broadcast Engineering, Theatre Technology, Event Production, or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience managing technical production for large-scale concerts, festivals, live entertainment events, award shows, or broadcast productions.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple technical teams and vendors simultaneously.
- Strong working knowledge of: Professional live sound systems, Intelligent lighting systems and lighting control, LED walls, projection, and video production systems, Broadcast and livestream production workflows, and Stage construction, rigging, and power distribution.
- Ability to interpret technical riders, stage plots, lighting plots, signal flow diagrams, and production specifications.
- Strong project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced, live production environments.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, public holidays, and travel when required.
