Job summary
Whitehouse Design Curators is seeking an experienced Technical Assistant to provide technical leadership across its real estate development, construction, and property projects. The successful candidate will oversee project execution, technical due diligence, regulatory compliance, land administration, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and technical supervision of construction and development projects, ensuring quality, timelines, budgets, and compliance with engineering and regulatory standards.
- Conduct technical and land due diligence, including feasibility studies, structural assessments, title verification, survey reviews, and evaluation of property acquisitions.
- Coordinate planning approvals, development permits, statutory documentation, and compliance with Nigerian land, building, environmental, and planning regulations while serving as the primary liaison with relevant regulatory agencies.
- Review architectural, engineering, and survey drawings; develop technical procedures, quality assurance standards, and governance frameworks to improve project delivery.
- Build and manage relationships with architects, engineers, surveyors, contractors, consultants, suppliers, government agencies, and other stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of technical and regulatory issues.
- Supervise procurement, facilities, and technical teams by reviewing specifications, evaluating contractors, ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting HSE standards, monitoring project costs, and driving operational efficiency.
- Prepare technical reports, compliance documentation, and strategic recommendations for executive management while providing leadership and mentorship to project teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- COREN registration is required. Membership of NSE, NIA, NIS, NIOB, or similar professional bodies is an advantage. PMP certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction, engineering, technical operations, or real estate development, with proven experience managing multiple projects.
- Strong knowledge of the Nigerian Land Use Act, land acquisition, title verification, planning approvals, development control procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience working with government agencies, coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, and preparing technical and compliance documentation.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, structural engineering, project planning, budgeting, contractor management, and risk management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, or similar tools is an advantage.
