Job summary

The Team Lead, Partnerships & Fundraising is responsible for driving the Foundation’s partnership development and fundraising efforts in alignment with ACT’s HEEL (Health, Entrepreneurship, Environment, Leadership) focus areas.

Responsibilities:

Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Develop and implement strategies to build high-value partnerships with donors, corporates, and key stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Represent the Foundation and communicate its position on key social and development issues
  • Strengthen stakeholder engagement and raise the Foundation’s profile locally, nationally, and internationally


Fundraising & Resource Mobilization:

  • Develop and drive fundraising strategies to enhance financial sustainability
  • Identify and track funding opportunities aligned with organisational priorities
  • Lead the development of funding proposals, pitches, and donor engagements
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of donors and partners
  • Identify opportunities to expand and diversify the Foundation’s funding base
  • Lead the development of funding proposals, pitches, and partnership engagements
  • Generate new ideas and opportunities to expand the Foundation’s funding base
  • Expand and diversify the Foundation’s funding base


Pipeline Management & Execution:

  • Manage fundraising pipelines, tracking, and engagement activities
  • Oversee proposal development processes from planning to submission
  • Ensure timely follow-up and conversion of funding opportunities
  • Coordinate execution of fundraising and partnership initiatives


Strategic Collaboration & Network Development:

  • Work closely with leadership and trustees to leverage networks and strategic relationships
  • Promote multi-stakeholder collaboration across programmes and initiatives
  • Build and sustain long-term partnerships aligned with organisational priorities


Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives:

  • Oversee the planning and implementation of special projects aligned with the Foundation’s strategic priorities
  • Provide strategic and coordination support for initiatives such as the Professional Volunteers Programme (PVP)
  • Ensure effective execution of partnership-driven and cross-functional initiatives


Planning, Execution & Growth:

  • Oversee proposal development processes from planning to submission
  • Ensure effective coordination and execution of partnership and fundraising initiatives
  • Identify innovative approaches to partnership development and fundraising
  • Monitor sector trends and identify opportunities for collaboration and growth
  • Contribute to strategic thinking on programme expansion and long-term sustainability


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support cross-functional organisational initiatives as required
  • Represent the Foundation in stakeholder engagements where necessary


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline is an advantage
  • Minimum of 6-7 years’ experience in partnerships, fundraising, or business development within a nonprofit or development organisation
  • Strong fundraising, partnership development, and business development capability
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and networking skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment
  • Strong organisational and planning capability
  • Leadership and coordination skills
  • High level of professionalism and sound judgement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience engaging with donors, corporates, and funding institutions
