Team Lead, Operations & Finance

Responsibilities:

• Manage the financial operations functions, including accounting, budgeting/financial planning, tax, financial analysis/control, and preparation of monthly management accounts and associated schedules
• Oversee timely preparation and rendition of periodic returns to regulatory and statutory bodies such as the CBN, FIRS and LIRS
• Maintain all records of taxation activities, including tax liabilities and payments while ensuring documentation of adequate proof of remittances for tax audit exercises
• Interface and manage correspondence with the regulatory and statutory agencies towards the conduct of routine examinations, inspections and audits
• Manage internal and external statutory audit engagements and provide information to complete audits
• Prepare the Operating Budget, monitor budget performance and variance analysis on key business drivers
• Accounting for PPE and ensuring proper maintenance of the fixed asset register
• Engagement with banking partners and other external stakeholders (e.g. NIBSS, FHAN, Tax Consultants, etc.) for prompt resolution of all issues and inquiries
• Empower team members through effective delegation while upholding accountability and performance standards
• Carry out other duties as may be assigned by the Departmental Head or Management from time to time

Requirements:

• Minimum BSc
• 4 years of previous work experience in similar role
