The Team Lead, Oil & Gas Sales is responsible for driving business growth within the Oil & Gas sector through strategic client acquisition, portfolio management, relationship development, and team leadership.

Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales Leadership:
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies for the Oil & Gas sector.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across upstream, midstream, and downstream markets.
- Drive premium income growth through the acquisition of new clients and expansion of existing accounts.
- Lead and coordinate sales activities to ensure achievement of assigned revenue and production targets.
- Develop sector-specific business plans and market penetration strategies.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within Oil & Gas companies.
- Manage strategic accounts and ensure high levels of client retention.
- Conduct regular client engagement meetings to understand evolving business and insurance needs.
- Ensure timely resolution of client concerns and service-related issues.
Portfolio & Risk Management:
- Work closely with underwriting and technical teams to structure appropriate insurance solutions.
- Support the development and renewal of Oil & Gas insurance portfolios.
- Monitor portfolio performance and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Market Intelligence & Industry Engagement:
- Monitor industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
- Identify emerging risks and opportunities within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
- Provide market insights and strategic recommendations to management.
Team Leadership & Performance Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members to achieve business objectives.
- Monitor team performance against agreed targets and KPIs.
- Conduct coaching sessions and performance reviews.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and submit periodic business performance reports.
- Track revenue, pipeline activities, renewals, and client retention metrics.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of client engagements and business transactions.
Requirements:
- Minimum HND in Insurance, Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional insurance qualification such as ACII, CIIN, or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in insurance marketing, business development, or relationship management.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience managing Oil & Gas accounts or business portfolios.
- Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue targets.
