JOB SUMMARY The Team Lead, Corporate & Commercial is responsible for driving strategic business growth through corporate client acquisition, commercial relationship management, investment mobilization, loan portfolio development, and revenue expansion.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Growth:
- Develop and execute corporate and commercial business growth strategies aligned with the organization’s objectives.
- Drive loan portfolio growth and investment mobilization across assigned business segments.
- Identify and secure high-value corporate and commercial business opportunities.
- Expand the organization’s market presence through strategic relationship development and business acquisition initiatives.
Corporate & Commercial Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with corporate organizations, SMEs, institutions, cooperatives, associations, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Manage key client relationships to ensure business retention and portfolio expansion.
- Establish long-term strategic partnerships that drive sustainable revenue growth.
Revenue & Portfolio Management:
- Drive quality risk asset creation in line with approved risk parameters.
- Monitor and grow commercial and corporate portfolios while ensuring profitability.
- Collaborate with Credit and Risk teams to ensure portfolio quality and minimize delinquency exposure.
- Ensure achievement of assigned revenue, portfolio growth, and profitability targets.
Investment Mobilization:
- Lead investment generation initiatives targeting corporate and individual investors.
- Promote the organization’s investment products and services to relevant market segments.
- Develop strategies for sustainable investment portfolio growth.
Team Leadership & Performance Management:
- Lead and supervise Corporate & Commercial business teams.
- Set performance targets and drive accountability across the team.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to improve productivity and business performance.
- Monitor team performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Advisory:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
- Provide strategic business insights and recommendations to executive management.
- Support product development and market expansion initiatives.
Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Provide periodic business performance reports directly to the Managing Director.
- Present portfolio performance, revenue analysis, and market opportunities to executive management.
- Maintain effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Banking, or related discipline.
- MBA or relevant professional certification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 10–12 years of relevant experience in financial services, commercial banking, consumer finance, lending institutions, fintech lending, or related sectors.
- Minimum of 5–7 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong experience in corporate business development, commercial lending, investment mobilization, and relationship management.
- Proven track record of generating significant business revenue and managing profitable portfolios.
- Demonstrable network of corporate and commercial relationships relevant to the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of lending structures, portfolio quality management, and financial products.
