Teacher Assistant / School Nanny
Job summary
The teacher assistant/school nanny will provide classroom and childcare support by assisting teachers with instructional activities, supervising pupils, and ensuring a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children's learning, character development, personal care, and overall well-being while upholding the school's values and safeguarding standards.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Assist teachers in preparing classrooms, learning materials, and teaching resources.
- Support pupils during classroom lessons, learning activities, meals, and playtime
- Supervise children to ensure their safety, well-being, and appropriate behaviour at all times.
- Assist with feeding, dressing, toileting, and other personal care needs of younger pupils where required.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and child-friendly classroom environment that promotes effective learning.
- Observe pupils and promptly report any academic, behavioural, health, or welfare concerns to the class teacher or school management.
- Encourage positive behaviour, respect, discipline, and good moral values among pupils.
- Support the school in promoting character development by modelling integrity, kindness, responsibility, teamwork, and respect in all interactions.
- Assist with classroom displays, learning activities, assemblies, excursions, and other school events.
- Foster a warm, caring, and inclusive environment that supports pupils' academic, emotional, social, and personal development.
- Ensure compliance with the school's safeguarding, health, safety, and child protection policies
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Class Teacher or School Management.
- Minimum of SSCE or NCE (NCE in education or early childhood education is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a school, daycare, nursery, or childcare environment.
- Passion for working with children and supporting their overall growth and development.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
