Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Tax Manager located in Lagos, Nigeria, with flexibility to work remotely as needed. The Tax Manager will lead and oversee taxation advisory projects, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations. Daily responsibilities include analyzing complex tax matters, preparing and reviewing tax filings, advising clients on tax planning and optimization strategies, and mentoring junior staff members. The role also involves keeping clients informed about changes in tax legislation and maintaining excellent client relationships.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Taxation Advisory Services, including Nigerian and international tax laws, regulations, and compliance
• Expertise in Audit and financial statement analysis to support tax planning
• Leadership and mentoring skills to guide junior staff
• Problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship management abilities
• Proficiency in relevant tax and accounting software
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
• Professional certification(s) such as ICAN, ACA, or ACCA
• Experience in a similar role, ideally within a professional services firm
