Systems Administrator

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and business applications.
• Administer Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, email systems, and user accounts.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Provide first- and second-level technical support to users and resolve IT incidents promptly.
• Manage system backups, disaster recovery processes, and data restoration.
• Install software updates, patches, and security fixes to maintain system integrity.
• Configure and maintain printers, scanners, network devices, and other IT peripherals.
• Monitor antivirus, firewall, and endpoint security solutions.
• Maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet connectivity across the organization.
• Manage user access rights and enforce IT security policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and system procedures.
• Coordinate with external vendors for hardware repairs, software licensing, and technical support.
• Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system performance, reliability, and security.
• Support IT infrastructure projects, technology deployments, and system upgrades.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified, CompTIA, Cisco (CCNA), ITIL, VMware, or Linux certifications are an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Systems Administration or IT Infrastructure Support.
• Experience within the FMCG or manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
• Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, or similar enterprise environments.
• Good understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, and switching.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting computer hardware, software, and network issues.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, endpoint protection, antivirus, and firewalls.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
