Systems Administrator
Job summary
We are looking for a proactive and highly skilled Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize the organization's IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering servers, networks, operating systems, business applications, and user accounts while ensuring system security.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and business applications.
- Administer Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, email systems, and user accounts.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Provide first- and second-level technical support to users and resolve IT incidents promptly.
- Manage system backups, disaster recovery processes, and data restoration.
- Install software updates, patches, and security fixes to maintain system integrity.
- Configure and maintain printers, scanners, network devices, and other IT peripherals.
- Monitor antivirus, firewall, and endpoint security solutions.
- Maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet connectivity across the organization.
- Manage user access rights and enforce IT security policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and system procedures.
- Coordinate with external vendors for hardware repairs, software licensing, and technical support.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system performance, reliability, and security.
- Support IT infrastructure projects, technology deployments, and system upgrades.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified, CompTIA, Cisco (CCNA), ITIL, VMware, or Linux certifications are an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Systems Administration or IT Infrastructure Support.
- Experience within the FMCG or manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
- Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, or similar enterprise environments.
- Good understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, and switching.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting computer hardware, software, and network issues.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, endpoint protection, antivirus, and firewalls.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
