Job summary

Our company, a leader in the Paint and Protective Coatings Manufacturing industry is seeking to engage a Supply Chain Manager who will be responsible for managing the procurement process, evaluating suppliers, negotiating contract, Logistics management forecasting supply and demand, overseeing inventory control processes.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Management:

  • Source and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials (e.g., resins, pigments, solvents) and packaging.
  • Collaborate with R&D and production teams to identify alternative materials and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in supplier selection.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure reliability and cost-efficiency.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve supplier performance.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
  • Coordinate logistics.
  • Carry out import and export processing.

Inventory Control:

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production without overstocking.
  • Implement and monitor inventory tracking systems (ERP/MRP).
  • Conduct regular audits and reconcile physical stock with system records.
  • Minimize stock-outs, overstocking, and obsolescence through data-driven planning.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.

Forecasting & Planning:

  • Collaborate with production and sales teams to forecast material needs.
  • Analyze consumption patterns and adjust inventory targets.
  • Plan for seasonal demand fluctuations and new product launches.

Cost Optimization & Reporting:

  • Use ERP systems to track procurement and inventory; also, identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Generate reports on inventory turnover, procurement costs, and supplier performance.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic planning.


Requirements:

  • Minimum Degree.
  • Minimum of 9+ years of experience in a similar role.
