Supply Chain and Sourcing Executive

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective raw material sourcing strategies, with a focus on waste paper procurement.
• Identify and establish direct sourcing channels from markets, commercial hubs, and high-volume waste generators.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers, collectors, and aggregators to ensure a consistent supply.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve significant cost reductions and favorable agreements.
• Reduce reliance on intermediaries by creating a more efficient and direct procurement network.
• Continuously monitor market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and sourcing advantages.
• Coordinate the collection and transportation of raw materials to ensure timely delivery to the factory.
• Track sourcing volumes, pricing, and supplier performance, ensuring accuracy and accountability in procurement activities.
• Conduct regular field visits to identify new sourcing opportunities and expand the supplier base.
• Prepare periodic reports on sourcing activities, cost savings, and supply performance, providing insights to management.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, procurement, preferably in paper, packaging, printing, or manufacturing industries.
• Experience working with suppliers and managing end-to-end supply chain processes, with hands-on sourcing experience in local markets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Results-driven with a strong sense of accountability and commitment.
• Practical knowledge of procurement and sourcing processes, particularly within informal or semi-structured supply markets.
• Understanding of waste paper sourcing, recycling value chains, or similar raw material supply ecosystems.
• Familiarity with local markets, aggregation points, and supplier networks relevant to waste collection and resale.
• Basic knowledge of pricing structures, cost drivers, and margin optimisation within supply chains.
• Understanding of logistics and material movement, including collection, aggregation, and transportation coordination.
• Ability to track and manage sourcing data (volumes, pricing, suppliers) using Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
• Awareness of vendor management practices, including supplier evaluation and performance monitoring.
• General understanding of health, safety, and compliance considerations in material handling and sourcing environments.

Remuneration: NGN 200,000- 250,000
