Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Supermarket Supervisor to oversee daily store operations, ensure excellent customer service, and manage staff performance. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, customer-focused, and capable of maintaining smooth operations while driving sales and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff, including cashiers and sales reps.
  
• Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained at all times.
  
• Monitor daily sales, transactions, and store performance.
  
• Oversee cash handling processes and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  
• Ensure shelves are well-stocked, properly arranged, and products are correctly priced.
  
• Manage inventory levels, track stock movement, and report low-stock or out-of-stock items.
  
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health, and safety standards.
  
• Train, guide, and evaluate staff performance to improve productivity.
  
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  
• Support loss prevention by monitoring theft, damages, and discrepancies.
  

Requirements

• Minimum of OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  
• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a supermarket or retail environment.
  
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
  
• Good understanding of inventory management and retail operations.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively.
  
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
