Supermarket & Bakery Accountant
Job summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Accountant to set up and manage the accounting function of a new Supermarket and Bakery operation. The ideal candidate will establish financial controls, oversee daily transactions, and provide accurate financial reporting to support business growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage accounting systems for supermarket and bakery operations
- Record and reconcile daily sales, POS reports, cash, and bank transactions
- Oversee inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, wastage, and stock valuation
- Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
- Manage supplier accounts, payments, and expense controls
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and statutory requirements
- Provide financial analysis and reports to management for decision-making
Requirements;
- Minimum of HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 3–5 years proven accounting experience, preferably in supermarket, retail, bakery, FMCG, or hospitality
- Strong knowledge of inventory-based accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel
- Ability to work independently and set up systems from scratch
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality
