Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, tech-savvy, and detail-oriented Study Abroad Admissions & Visa Support Intern to join our admissions and visa team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or youth corps members passionate about international education to gain hands-on experience in study abroad consultancy, scholarship research, visa application processing, etc. You will work directly with our team managing the complete student journey from university applications to visa approval. This includes processing admissions on multiple platforms, submitting scholarship applications, preparing visa documentation, and creating valuable content for our clients. This role offers excellent exposure to international education and immigration processes with strong potential for career growth.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
Admission Management (60% of role):
- Process university applications on direct university admission portals
- Manage applications on third-party platforms
- Submit fully-funded scholarship applications
- Track application statuses and deadlines and follow up on pending submissions
- Maintain accurate student records and application databases using CRM systems
- Prepare and compile application documents (transcripts, recommendation letters, personal statements, CVs, portfolios)
- Ensure all applications meet university requirements and submission deadlines
- Respond to university queries and requests for additional documentation
- Coordinate with partner universities and education agents
Visa Application Processing (15% of role):
- Prepare visa applications for multiple countries (UK Student Visa, US F-1, Canada Study Permit, Schengen, Australia Student Visa, etc.)
- Complete online visa application forms accurately on official government portals (UKVI, IRCC, VFS Global, etc.)
- Compile visa supporting documents (financial documents, acceptance letters, accommodation proof, travel itineraries)
- Prepare Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) requests and processing
- Draft visa cover letters and statements of purpose for visa applications
- Verify financial documentation meets visa requirements (bank statements, sponsor letters, loan approvals)
- Schedule visa appointments and biometric enrollment for clients
- Track visa application progress and provide status updates to clients
- Prepare clients for visa interviews with country-specific guidance and mock interviews
- Stay updated on changing visa regulations, policies, and documentation requirements for all destination countries
- Liaise with visa application centers (VFS Global, TLS Contact, etc.) to resolve queries
- Maintain visa application tracker and success rate statistics
Research & Content Development (20% of role):
- Research scholarship opportunities, university programmes, and admission requirements
- Monitor changes in visa policies and immigration rules for all destination countries
- Stay updated on international education trends and application procedures
- Create informative content for social media, websites, and client communications
- Develop application guides, visa checklists, and resource materials for students
- Compile weekly scholarship bulletins and visa policy updates
- Research country-specific requirements (financial proof, health insurance, accommodation)
- Create comparison guides for visa processes across different countries
Client Support & Coordination (5% of role):
- Communicate with clients via email, WhatsApp, and phone regarding application and visa progress
- Provide guidance on document preparation for both admissions and visa applications
- Assist in organizing webinars, information sessions, and pre-departure orientations
- Respond to client queries about timelines, requirements, and processes
- Provide basic counseling to prospective students on study destinations and visa requirements
Requirements:
- Excellent internet research skills and digital literacy
- Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF tools)
- Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 40 WPM)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy (CRITICAL for visa applications)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work with multiple online portals and learn new government systems quickly
- Strong organizational skills managing multiple applications and deadlines simultaneously
- Understanding of document formatting and official correspondence
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong time management and ability to work under pressure
- Self-motivated with willingness to learn complex procedures
