Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze structural systems for buildings and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and technical reports.
- Review architectural designs and ensure structural integrity and compliance with codes and standards.
- Supervise site execution to ensure adherence to approved designs and specifications.
- Conduct inspections, assessments, and evaluations of existing structures when required.
- Collaborate with project teams to optimize cost, safety, and buildability.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or Structural Engineering (master’s degree is an advantage).
- Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in structural design and construction supervision.
- Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Solid knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices.
- Proven experience working on residential and/or commercial building projects.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
- Professional certification/registration (COREN or equivalent) is an added advantage.
