Storekeeper
Job summary
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage inventory control across all hotel units, including F&B, housekeeping, and maintenance. The role involves receiving, issuing, and tracking stock accurately while ensuring accountability and compliance with inventory and financial procedures.

Responsibilities:
Goods Receiving;
- Receive and inspect all deliveries with Security support
- Verify items against purchase orders and delivery notes
- Reject damaged, incorrect, or undocumented goods
- Record all deliveries accurately (GRNs) on the same day
- Forward all documents to the Inventory Manager and Finance promptly
- Move received goods immediately into the correct storage areas
Stock Issuing:
- Issue stock only against approved requisitions
- Verify departmental authorization before release
- Issue correct quantities with no substitutions
- Record all issues in the system daily
- Log returns and update records accurately
- Submit daily stock issue reports
Storage & Organisation:
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-labelled store
- Ensure FIFO stock rotation at all times
- Store items correctly (dry, chilled, frozen, chemical segregation)
- Prevent contamination, damage, or pest exposure
- Report storage equipment faults immediately
Stock Records & Documentation:
- Record all stock movements daily (no backlog allowed)
- Maintain system and physical stock cards (bin cards)
- Submit daily stock movement reports to the Finance and Inventory Manager
- Report discrepancies immediately for review
Stock Takes:
- Participate in all scheduled and surprise stock counts
- Accurately count stock without bias from system records
- Submit count sheets and support variance investigations
- Ensure the store is properly arranged before audits
Requisition Management:
- Process requisitions promptly in order of receipt
- Inform the Inventory Manager of shortages immediately
- Do not substitute items without approval
- File all requisitions properly for audit purposes
Store Security & Control:
- Maintain strict control of store access at all times
- Ensure no unauthorised entry or stock removal
- Lock the store when unattended
- Follow key control procedures strictly
- Report security breaches immediately
Hygiene & Store Maintenance:
- Keep the store clean, pest-free, and organised daily
- Clean shelves, floors, and cold rooms regularly
- Handle expired/damaged stock only with authorization
- Report hygiene or pest issues immediately
Requirements:
- OND or equivalent in Supply Chain, Business Admin, Accounting, or related field
- 1–3 years store/warehouse/inventory experience (hospitality or FMCG preferred)
- High integrity and honesty (critical role requirement)
- Strong attention to detail
- Organised and methodical working style
- Basic stock management and documentation skills
- Good communication with departments and management
- Physical ability to handle stock movement
- Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills
- Basic computer literacy
Preferred:
- Hospitality or hotel store experience
- Familiarity with ERP/inventory systems
- Knowledge of HACCP and food storage standards
- Experience working with Finance/Internal Audit teams
KPIs:
- Daily stock reports submitted accurately and on time
- Zero backlog in stock entries or GRNs
- No stock is issued without approved requisitions
- Accurate reconciliation of physical vs system stock
- FIFO compliance in store operations
- Store hygiene and audit performance
- Zero unauthorised stock movement incidents
Working Conditions:
- Store-based, physically active role (lifting, movement, organization)
