Inventory Officer
Job summary
The Store/Inventory Officer is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and control of inventory to ensure accurate stock records and the efficient availability of materials. The role involves maintaining optimal inventory levels, safeguarding company assets, and ensuring compliance with established inventory management procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming goods and materials.
- Ensure items received match purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
- Store materials in an organized, safe, and accessible manner.
- Issue stock only upon approved requisition and maintain proper documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or computerized inventory systems.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate timely reordering to prevent stock shortages.
- Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with inventory records.
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, damages, losses, or expired items.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Coordinate with the Procurement, Production, Sales, and Accounts departments on inventory-related activities.
- Ensure the store is clean, secure, and complies with health and safety standards.
- Label and categorize inventory appropriately for easy identification and retrieval.
- Monitor the movement of inventory and ensure proper stock rotation (e.g., FIFO/FEFO where applicable).
- Assist during internal and external inventory audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory control procedures.
Requirements:
- A minimum of an HND/B.Sc. in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience
