Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of all products, ingredients, and supplies.
  • Regularly conduct physical inventory checks and reconcile any discrepancies between recorded and actual inventory levels
  • Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize waste, spoilage, and stock outs.
  • Receive incoming supplies, inspect them for quality and quantity, and verify that they match purchase orders.
  • Organize and properly store all supplies, ensuring that they are labeled, dated, and stored according to safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Rotate stock to prevent product expiry and ensure the first-in-first-out (FIFO) principle is followed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, transactions, and stock movements using both manual and digital systems.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory status, consumption patterns, and potential shortages.
  • Communicate with the kitchen staff and front-of-house team to understand their requirements and ensure seamless supply of ingredients and materials.
  • Maintain an organized and clean storage environment, ensuring that items are stored safely and efficiently.
  • Implement proper shelving, labeling, and storage procedures to maximize space utilization and accessibility.
  • Report any quality issues or discrepancies to the appropriate department and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Monitor and manage the storage of perishable items to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.


Requirements:

  • OND/HND/BSC in any field
  • Additional education or training in inventory management is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a storekeeping or inventory management role, preferably in a restaurant or food service environment will be added advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


Location: Only applicants residing around Alagomeji, Yaba, Bariga, Somolu, Surulere, Lagos Island, Victoria Island and environs will be considered.
