Store Keeper
Job summary
To manage the receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of materials, tools, and equipment at the construction site warehouse. The Store Keeper ensures accurate inventory management, proper handling, and timely availability of materials to support uninterrupted project execution and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
Material Receipt and Inspection:
- Receive and inspect all incoming materials, tools, and supplies, verifying quantities and specifications against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Record all receipts accurately in stock registers or the ERP system.
- Reject and report any damaged, defective, or non-compliant materials for replacement or corrective action.
Storage and Inventory Control:
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of materials within the warehouse.
- Maintain clean, safe, and secure storage conditions, preventing deterioration or loss of materials.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies with inventory records.
- Monitor inventory levels, initiate reorder requests, and notify supervisors of low stock or overstock conditions.
Material Issuance and Coordination:
- Process material requests from site departments in line with approved requisitions.
- Prepare and issue materials accurately, updating stock ledgers and transaction records.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and project teams to plan and track material deliveries.
- Ensure proper documentation for receipts, issues, returns, and transfers of materials.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain up-to-date and well-organized inventory records, registers, and supporting documents.
- Generate and submit weekly and monthly inventory reports showing material balances, consumption trends, and variances.
- Support internal and external audits with accurate stock information and documentation.
Safety and Security:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and handling procedures for all stored materials.
- Implement and enforce security measures to prevent theft, pilferage, and unauthorized access.
- Oversee maintenance and proper arrangement of tools and equipment in the warehouse.
- Conduct periodic checks to ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse management principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP software.
- Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and accountability.
