Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Randomly check 5 high-value or best-selling SKUs daily to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Conduct cycle counts covering one-fifth of the warehouse zones weekly by category, ensuring full warehouse coverage over a five-week cycle.
- Organize a comprehensive warehouse-wide inventory count once a month, involving the entire team.
- Immediately verify any discrepancies found during counts, complete the "Inventory Discrepancy Handling Form," and adjust inventory records after approval by the Chinese supervisor.
- Manage the defective goods area (Zone D) daily, including logging returns, exchanges, and the disposal of damaged or defective items.
- Assist the Chinese supervisor in maintaining the accuracy of real-time inventory records (limited to verification and feedback; direct modification of records is not permitted).
- Check the placement of goods during inventory counts to ensure alignment between actual locations and inventory records.
Requirements:
- Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent; basic literacy and numeracy skills required
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse stocktaking or inventory management preferred
- Proficiency in basic WPS/Excel operations (filling out spreadsheets, using simple formulas); training provided if necessary
- Meticulous, patient, honest, and reliable; stocktaking data must be accurate—falsification is strictly prohibited
- Physically able to stand, walk, and move goods for extended periods (stocktaking requires moving around the entire facility)
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Yoruba or Igbo is a plus (to facilitate communication with local staff)
