Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Explaining the ultrasound procedure to patients, answering their questions, and properly positioning them to ensure the target area is accessible.
- Applying gel to the skin and manipulating the transducer (probe) to capture high-quality diagnostic images of organs, muscles, or fetuses.
- Reviewing images for quality, taking initial measurements, and summarizing findings to provide preliminary reports for the interpreting physician.
- Calibrating and maintaining ultrasound machines, sanitizing equipment, and troubleshooting minor technical issues.
- Ensuring patient comfort, maintaining a compassionate environment, and strictly adhering to medical confidentiality and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of BSC
- 2 years of previous experience in a similar role
- Modalities: Ultrasound & ECG (EEG would be an added advantage)
