Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site assessments and energy audits to determine customers’ power needs and recommend suitable solar solutions.
- Design and size solar power systems, including panels, inverters, batteries, cables and electrical protection devices.
- Supervise and carry out solar installations, testing and commissioning, ensuring safe wiring, proper earthing and compliance with applicable electrical standards.
- Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and perform preventive maintenance to keep solar systems operating efficiently.
- Prepare technical reports and installation records, and train customers on safe system operation and basic maintenance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years' proven experience with solar PV and battery storage system installations
- Experience installing systems above 100kWp PV capacity and 261kWh battery storage capacity
- Strong troubleshooting and commissioning skills
- Ability to supervise installation teams and deliver projects to specification
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field (mandatory)
