Job summary

Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the company/brand social media strategy to enhance brand awareness, drive engagement, and generate leads. Also, create and curate content, manage social media accounts, analyzing performance metrics, and staying-up to date with industry trends.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and create high-quality, engaging content (text, images, videos, etc.) that resonates with the target audience and meets the organisation’s brand guidelines. 
  • Develop and execute a social media strategy that aligns with the organisation's or brand's overall marketing goals, including identifying target audiences, setting engagement metrics, and tracking performance.
  • Manage and maintain the organisation’s social media presence across multiple platforms, ensuring consistency in branding, tone and messaging.
  • Monitor and analyse social media performance using tools like Google Analytics, Hootsuite, or Sprout, and provide regular reports on engagement metrics, audience growth, and campaign performance. 
  • Develop and manage a content calendar to ensure consistent posting, minimise downtime, and maximise engagement.
  • Foster and maintain a strong online community by responding to comments, messages and reviews in a timely and professional manner, and engaging with followers through likes, shares and comments.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field 
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in social media management. 
  • Proven experience managing brands' or agencies' social media accounts. 
  • Experience in ads, email marketing, copywriting and content planning skills. 
  • Familiarity with social media management tools. 
  • Basic knowledge in analytics and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts effectively.
  • Creative, detail-orientated, and deadline-driven. 
  • Applicants must live in Lagos (preferably on the Island).
