meri is hiring a part-time Social Media Manager & Content Creator in Lagos. You’ll pitch ideas, shoot and edit short-form video at events, and run our social channels day to day, working directly with the founding team. About 20 hours a week, flexible schedule.

Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Pitch and produce original content ideas.
- Shoot and edit short-form video at events across Lagos.
- Plan and schedule posts across our social channels.
- Respond to comments and messages, and flag anything sensitive to the team.
- Get clear consent from people before they appear in our content.
- Coordinate small on-site shoots.
- Share a short weekly update on what went out and how it did.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year in content creation or social media for a brand, business or creator.
- You know Lagos celebrations: owambe, aso-ebi, traditional weddings and more.
- Clear, warm written English.
- A portfolio that shows your creative eye and your own ideas.
- Strong short-form video editing skills (CapCut or similar).
- Sound judgment on privacy and consent.
- Based in Lagos, with availability for some weekend evenings.
Nice to have:
- Experience in events, fashion or hospitality.
- Basic design skills (Canva or similar).
