Job Summary
The SME Loan Officer is responsible for generating sales, acquiring new commercial (SMEs and Corporate) clients, and managing relationships to drive revenue growth. This role involves providing solutions, maintaining a strong customer focus to meet sales targets and contribute to business expansion.

Responsibilities:
- Source and onboard SME clients to grow the bank’s loan portfolio.
- Conduct credit appraisal, cash flow analysis, and business assessments.
- Prepare loan recommendations and ensure proper documentation for approval.
- Monitor loan utilization, repayment, and overall portfolio performance.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and support loan recovery efforts.
- Ensure compliance with lending policies, KYC, and credit risk guidelines.
- Identify market trends, industry opportunities, and competitive threats to formulate effective business development strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 1–3 years’ experience in credit/loan sales within a financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of credit appraisal, cash flow analysis, and risk assessment.
- Strong sales, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of local markets and SME industries.
- High integrity and strong adherence to credit risk guidelines.
- Work Type: Hybrid, Location: Ikorodu
