Job summary

We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Site Manager (Civil) to oversee and coordinate civil construction activities on project sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, and ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with engineering standards and company

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all civil construction activities on site.
  • Ensure projects are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management.
  • Manage site workforce, subcontractors, and equipment to achieve productivity targets.
  • Enforce strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, engineers, and other stakeholders on project matters.
  • Plan and manage material requirements, logistics, and site resources efficiently.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and site challenges promptly.
  • Ensure proper documentation, record keeping, and reporting of site activities.
  • Monitor costs and ensure effective budget control throughout project execution.
  • Drive adherence to company policies, procedures, and disciplinary standards on-site.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of
  • 7- 10 years proven experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering principles.
  • Experience managing large teams and subcontractors on-site.
  • Good understanding of project planning and scheduling tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project).
  • Knowledge of HSE standards and compliance requirements.
  • Professional certification (COREN, NSE, PMP, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word Excel) strong communication and coordination skill Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency breakdowns
