Job summary
The Site Engineer manages day-to-day operations on large-scale real estate construction sites, ensuring projects are executed according to engineering specifications, architectural designs, approved budgets, and strict timelines. This role acts as the primary technical link between architectural design teams, project managers, contractors, artisans
Job descriptions & requirements
- Site Supervision & Quality Control: Execute daily visual inspections, conduct slump/concrete strength testing, inspect rebar placing, and verify layout alignments against architectural/structural drawings.
- Contractor & Labor Management: Supervise main contractors, sub-contractors, and daily labor forces. Monitor trade productivity, enforce site safety protocols, and resolve daily logistical bottlenecks.
- Material & Resource Management: Prepare Material Requisition Slips (MRS), manage raw material inventories on-site, log wastage rates, and prevent material degradation or theft.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain daily site logs (labor count, weather conditions, equipment uptime, work completed), review subcontractor bills/M-Books, and compile weekly progress reports for Senior Project Managers.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) mandates, lead daily toolbox talks, and maintain zero-tolerance safety environments under local building regulation frameworks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management.
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on site supervision in high-rise residential, commercial, or large township real estate developments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project or Primavera P6, and site management tools (e.g., Procore, Fieldwire).
- Strong understanding of soil mechanics, structural reinforcement, concrete technology, and local building codes.
