Site Engineer
Job summary
The Site Engineer will oversee building construction activities, with a strong focus on reinforced concrete works. The role involves supervising site operations, coordinating project teams, ensuring quality and HSE compliance, interpreting drawings, and ensuring projects are delivered according to specifications and timelines.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise concrete works, including formwork, reinforcement, pouring, curing, and inspections.
- Interpret structural and architectural drawings and ensure accurate site implementation.
- Coordinate subcontractors, tradesmen, and other project stakeholders.
- Conduct quality control checks, including concrete mix, slump, and cube tests.
- Monitor materials, manpower, equipment, and overall site progress.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and HSE standards.
- Prepare daily and weekly site reports and work plans.
- Liaise with consultants and the Project Manager to resolve technical issues.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building construction, particularly reinforced concrete structures.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural and architectural drawings.
- Sound knowledge of construction, concrete works, and site supervision.
- Strong knowledge of construction quality control and concrete testing methods.
- Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
- COREN, NSE, or other relevant professional membership is an advantage.
- Knowledge of MEP drawings will be an added advantage.
