Job summary

A Shortlet Marketer at TLM is responsible for promoting the company’s short-let apartments and increasing bookings across its network of properties in Ibadan. The role involves identifying potential clients, advertising available apartments through online and offline channels, managing enquiries, and converting leads into confirmed bookings.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

Property Marketing and Promotion:

  • Promote available short-term apartments through various channels such as social media, online marketplaces, property listing platforms, and personal networks to attract potential clients.


Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

  • Identify and engage potential customers, including travellers, corporate clients, tourists, and individuals seeking temporary accommodation.


Lead Generation and Booking Conversion:

  • Respond to enquiries, provide information about available apartments, negotiate rates when necessary, and convert leads into confirmed bookings.


Digital Marketing Activities:

  • Create and share promotional content such as photos, videos, and advertisements on platforms like Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, and property listing websites.


Customer Support and Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with clients before, during, and after their stay to ensure a positive customer experience.


Collaboration with Operations Team:

  • Work closely with property managers, cleaners, and maintenance teams to ensure apartments are ready for guests and meet quality standards.


Market Research:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and customer preferences to help improve marketing strategies and increase bookings.

Requirements:
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and social media promotion
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet sales targets
  • Basic knowledge of the short-term or hospitality industry is an advantage

Compensation:
  • Shortlet marketers often earn through a combination of base pay and commission, with additional incentives based on successful bookings or performance targets.
