Job descriptions & requirements

About the Company

OBEK Group is a dynamic, international conglomerate headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria and Houston, Texas — specializing in Manufacturing, Agriculture, Construction and Energy Services. Through a portfolio of Pilot Companies, the Group delivers large-scale, complex projects across Oil & Gas Exploration & Production, Subsurface Data Gathering and Wells Solutions, Petrochemical Refining, Civil Infrastructure Construction (including offshore and onshore facilities, dredging and reclamation), Construction Materials (cement, aggregates, rebars), and Industrial & Commercial Real Estate.

About the Role

The Senior Well Engineer is responsible for the engineering, planning, technical assurance and performance optimization of drilling, completion, workover, intervention, suspension and abandonment activities across the well lifecycle.

The role converts subsurface and field-development objectives into safe, technically robust, execution-ready and cost-effective well designs and programmes. The incumbent performs and assures engineering analyses, develops well programmes and operational procedures, defines equipment and service requirements, manages technical interfaces, supports rig-site execution, and provides timely engineering decisions during operations.

The Senior Well Engineer is a key custodian of well integrity, well-control and barrier-management requirements and is expected to challenge unsafe or technically unsound practices. The role also drives performance improvement through offset-well analysis, risk reduction, lessons learned, NPT/ILT elimination, technology application and disciplined post-well review.
