We are seeking an experienced and results-orientated senior SME loan officer to drive the growth of our SME loan portfolio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing loan applications for small and medium-sized enterprises while maintaining high credit quality and minimising risk.

Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Identify, prospect, and onboard new SME clients to grow the loan portfolio
- Assess and analyze loan applications, including financial statements, cash flow, and creditworthiness of businesses
- Structure loan proposals in line with the company’s credit policies and risk appetite
- Conduct site visits and due diligence to validate client information and business operations
- Manage the end-to-end loan process from origination to disbursement
- Monitor existing loan accounts to ensure timely repayment and portfolio quality
- Proactively follow up on repayments and manage delinquent accounts to minimize defaults
- Build and maintain strong relationships with SME clients to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Prepare and present credit reports and recommendations to the credit committee
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and SME sector developments
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience.
- A minimum of an HND in a related field.
