Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Victoria Island, Lagos for a Senior MEP Engineer. The Senior MEP Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects of building services projects. Daily responsibilities include designing and reviewing MEP systems, managing MEP coordination, supervising on-site installations, and ensuring compliance with project timelines, safety standards, and regulations. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

Landmark Africa Group is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems across our real estate development projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in energy systems, sustainability, and large-scale project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of MEP systems across development projects.

•
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate MEP systems into building designs.

•
Review HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and energy system designs to ensure compliance with regulations.

•
Provide guidance on energy-efficient and sustainable building solutions.

•
Oversee MEP drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and procurement processes.

•
Supervise installation, site inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.

•
Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to project timelines.

•
Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or efficiency improvements.

Requirements

•
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

•
Minimum 10 years of MEP engineering experience, with 3+ years in a senior role.

•
Experience with large-scale real estate or hospitality developments.

•
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

•
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other MEP design tools.

•
Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.

•
Professional engineering certification is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, as well as expertise in Building Services.
• Strong skills in MEP Coordination to ensure the alignment and integration of design and installation processes.
• Proficiency in Plumbing and experience in Electrical Engineering to support technical design and implementation.
• Excellent project management capabilities, including problem-solving, decision-making, and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with significant professional engineering experience.
• Familiarity with industry standards and local building codes in Nigeria or similar environments.
• Effective communication and team collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to leadership and project delivery.
• Professional certifications in MEP or building systems are a plus.
