Senior Java Developer

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance Java applications leveraging TCP/UDP socket programming.
• Develop and optimize real-time client-server systems and ensure secure communication channels.
• Implement and manage network protocols, data serialization, and message handling mechanisms.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable Java code with a focus on performance tuning and low latency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to socket connections, concurrency, and system integration.
• Work with architects to design solutions that support scalability, reliability, and performance goals.
• Integrate with external APIs, hardware devices, and third-party communication systems.
• Mentor junior developers and enforce best practices in code quality, testing, and DevOps integration.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, networking frameworks, and security best practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum academic qualification of a BSc/MSc/HND degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
• Proven hands-on software development experience.
• Proven work experience in Java development
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
• Object-oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
• Profound insight into Java and JEE internals (Class loading, Memory Management, Transaction Management, e.t.c).
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).
• Experience in the Spring Framework.
• Experience as a Sun Certified Java Developer 
• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring       MVC)
• Experience in test-driven development.
