Role Description

The Senior Human Resources Consultant will provide strategic and operational HR support to clients, serving as a trusted advisor on workforce planning, organizational design, and people management. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and reviewing HR policies, guiding HR management practices, and advising on employee relations issues to support a fair and compliant workplace. The consultant will interpret and apply labor and employment law, prepare HR documentation, and support performance management and talent development initiatives. This is a contract role based in Lagos with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site client engagement with some work-from-home flexibility. The individual will collaborate closely with client leadership teams, deliver HR assessments and recommendations, and support implementation of HR initiatives that align with business objectives.
Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with experience providing strategic HR guidance to organizations.
  • Ability to design, implement, and review HR Policies that are clear, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated skills in Employee Relations, including conflict resolution, coaching managers, and promoting a positive, inclusive work environment.
  • Solid understanding of Labor and Employment Law, with the ability to interpret regulations and advise on compliance-related matters.
  • Proven experience in consulting or advisory roles, preferably at a senior level, working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience with HR metrics, reporting, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field; advanced certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, CIPD) is an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting in Lagos, managing multiple client engagements and deadlines independently.
