The Dangote Cement Plc is seeking a talented and experienced Senior General Manager, Electrical & Instrumentation to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the electrical and instrumentation functions across various projects and locations. The Senior General Manager, Electrical & Instrumentation will be responsible for ensuring the effective, efficient, and safe operation and maintenance of all electrical and instrumentation equipment, systems, and processes. This leadership role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional technical knowledge, and the ability to drive successful outcomes through effective teamwork and collaboration.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute the electrical and instrumentation strategy, policies, and procedures Oversee the planning, installation, maintenance, and repairs of electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment Ensure compliance with electrical and instrumentation standards, codes, and regulations Monitor and manage project timelines and budgets for electrical and instrumentation activities Provide technical assistance and guidance to project teams and ensure effective coordination with other departments Lead a team of electrical and instrumentation technicians and professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce downtime, and enhance equipment reliabilityRequirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field Minimum of 25 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation management, preferably in the cement industry, with 10 years at in Senior Leadership Capacity. Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, equipment, and best practices Proven experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Knowledge of relevant safety and regulatory standards and guidelinesBenefits
