Senior Fund & Portfolio Manager

Responsibilities:

Strategic Portfolio Management

• Oversee investment portfolios with a focus on mortgage-related assets, including MBS, real estate investment trusts (REITs), and other fixed-income products.
• Drive the strategic direction of portfolios to achieve superior returns while managing complex risks
• Ensure portfolio alignment with investment objectives, risk tolerance, and regulatory requirements.

Investment Strategy Development

• Formulate long-term strategies based on macroeconomic trends, market forecasts, and housing sector developments.
• Innovate in asset allocation and diversification to maximize performance

Risk Assessment

• Develop enterprise-level risk models to evaluate portfolio exposure to prepayment, default, and market risks.
• Lead the implementation of robust risk mitigation frameworks and regulatory compliance protocols

Performance Oversight

• Monitor and analyze portfolio performance against complex benchmarks and competitor portfolios.
• iReport on portfolio returns, risk-adjusted performance, and strategic outlook to executive teams, boards, and stakeholders.
• Propose actionable insights for portfolio rebalancing or optimization.

Team Management

• Supervise junior fund managers and analysts, providing guidance on complex financial models, investment decisions, and risk assessments.
• Act as the primary decision-maker for portfolio adjustments and team leadership in high-stakes situations.

Stakeholder Communication

• Act as a key liaison with investors, clients, regulators, and senior executives to align investment strategies with organizational goals.
• Lead investor meetings, offering detailed explanations of portfolio performance, risks, and future plans.

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, such as SEC rules or industry standards and polices
• Represent the organization at industry conferences, panels, and regulatory consultations. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics,s or a related field.
• Must have relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, ACCA, or FRM)
• 10–15  years of proven experience with a background in stock brokerage 
• A good understanding of mortgage-backed securities (MBS), collateralized mortgage obligations (CMOs), and structured finance.
• Must have a good understanding of the Capital Market 6. Must be able to trade in different instruments
• Marketing experience is compulsory
• Proficiency in advanced financial tools like Blothe omberg Terminal, MATLAB, SAS, or similar platforms.
• Expertise in analyzing complex financial models, market trends, and data.
• Proficiency in risk assessment tools and quantitative analysis.
• Awareness of relevant regulations (e.g., SEC, CFPB, Basel III) impacting the mortgage industry and investment portfolios.
• A good understanding of interest rate dynamics and their impact on mortgage assets.
